What are superseded part numbers?

From time to time auto manufacturers may decide to supersede one part number to another. This can happen for several different reasons. Older parts usually supersede to newer numbers in order to improve quality or fix imperfections. However, the new part number is always the exact same, genuine OEM Land Rover part as the part it superseded from. However, almost every time a part supersedes to another part number, the price for that part increases. Sometimes the increase may be very small, sometimes it is a significant amount. We have no control over the manufacturer's decision to supersede parts and increase prices. Unfortunately these changes occur so often that it is increasingly tough to keep our catalog up to speed with the new changes. Please understand we are constantly working hard to keep our catalog as accurate as possible. .
